North West Regional Profile
The North West Region covers a large land mass of Queensland from Mornington Island in the north down to Birdsville on the South Australian border, from Camooweal on the Northern Territory border to Prairie in the east which is only some 300 kilometers from Townsville on the coast. This area consists of only two Education Qld Districts - Longreach and Mount Isa - representing approximately 40 schools and about 6,000 students.
