The East Ender Term 1 2010 Edition ( Regional Newsletter)

Regional Profile

This Brisbane Metropolitan region covers 149 schools with over 80, 000 students. The area stretches from Bald Hills in the North East to North Stradbroke Island in the South. Our Western border extends to Ferny Hills. We are a diverse region of people and schools.

We actively pursue local and broader education issues which our P&C's consider most relevant to them.  These issues include improved departmental health policies and life threatening allergy strategies; Prep teacher aide time and resources, Chaplaincy, improved community representation and communication for Education Queensland initiatives and P&C finance  and accountability issues.

Met East also provides mobile support activities for P&C's, skilling events, regular newsletter as well as our monthly Regional Council meetings.
