The Q150 Community Funding Program
Round 3 Opens 1st July and will close 5th September 2008
The Q150 Community Funding Program is a Queensland Government initiative which aims to give all Queenslanders the opportunity to celebrate and commemorate the anniversary through activities and projects that reflect the unique culture, heritage and aspirations of their own community.
The Queensland Government has committed $4 million to the Q150 Community Funding Program. P & Cs are able to apply for funds on behalf of school to stage celebrations for Queensland's 150th birthday in 2009.
Round 3 of the funding is open now and will close on 5th September 2008. This is the third and final round
Projects will be assessed on their ability to achieve one or more of the following criteria:
- Celebrate and commemorate the anniversary in a way which reflects the vision and themes of the Q150 Celebrations
- Raise community awareness of the Q150 Celebrations
- Encourage community participation in the development and delivery of the Q150 Celebrations
- Contribute to a State-wide program of diverse, inclusive and innovative events, celebrations and community projects
- Celebrate the anniversary with projects of lasting significance which provide social, cultural or economic benefits to Queensland communities.
