To improve the literacy and numeracy results of Queensland students, the Queensland Government has introduced new audit requirements for state schools. This new audit system is based on findings and recommendations from Professor Geoff Masters' review of education in Queensland, the Queensland Roadmap for Curriculum, Teaching, Assessment and Reporting in Years 1-9 and international best practice.
The independent audit will be conducted across all state schools in Queensland in 2010 in fact some of you may already have experienced this process.
QCPCA has been involved in the consultation and we are pleased to say that P&C Presidents will be interviewed as part of the process in every school and they will also receive information from the findings of the audit.
Additional detail on the audit process can be found at http://education.qld.gov.au/nationalpartnerships/pdf/factsheet-teaching-and-learning-audits.pdf
