Margaret Leary: President (Peninsula)

I am married and have 2 children and work as an Accounts Assistant in a Law Firm.

I have been involved in P&Cs for over 14 years and have held every position over this time. I became involved in P&Cs because I am passionate about ensuring children in schools have positive learning environments that provide quality outcomes.

I am part of the Peninsula Region Council and with the team we try to ensure that P&Cs have the knowledge to undertake their roles and assist them to build strong communities within their own schools and networks. I believe parents can make a real difference to the Educational environment through working with P&Cs and school communities and as State President I look forward to continuing to assist P&Cs across Queensland achieve their goals.

Loris Doessel: State Vice President (Wide Bay Region)

Married with 3 sons and 4 grandchildren, I have been an active member of my P&C since 1984. Over the years I have held every P&C executive position and have been involved in many events and school committees.

I work part-time as a school administration officer, and have continued my active P&C membership, although no longer have children at school.

Being an inaugural member of Wide Bay Regional Council of QCPCA in 1992, I have held every executive position on that committee.

I believe in teamwork between parents and school staff to gain the best for students. I also believe that the role of QCPCA on behalf of P&Cs and its relationship with Education Queensland means our schools and students will gain enhanced support.

As state vice-president I will continue the teamwork for the benefit of our state school students.

Wayne Hopper: State Vice President (Sunshine Coast Region)

I have a 9 year old daughter in the State School System and I believe by being involved and showing interest in our children's school and education we instill a love and pride in their school and learning. When my daughter started prep I attended my first P&C meeting, I have been  P&C Vice President for 1 year, President for 4 years, Sunshine Coast Region Branch Vice President for 1year and Sunshine Coast State Executive Member QCPCA for the last 2 years. I look forward too working with the State Officers and Executive of in my role as Vice President QCPCA to help  and advocate on behalf of P&Cs. By working together, with other stakeholders and with EQ we can make children's education and environment a happy and safe experience.

Mick Cutler: State Treasurer (Northern Region)

Being involved with P&Cs and QCPCA since my eldest son began school 9 years ago, I have held every role on a P&C executive and have been the Northern Regional Council President for 4 years and State Executive representative for the past 3 years. With a strong focus on assisting people with a disability, I am also the President of a disability support organisation.

My long-suffering partner and I have 3 sons and as a self-employed consultant, I bring 10 years small business experience to the role of State Treasurer. For many years I have provided personal assistance to many P&Cs in my region to strengthen the ties they have with their school, community and networks. I firmly believe that QCPCA can continue to make a significant difference in advocating for great educational outcomes for Queensland students and look forward to working with the valued members on our State and regional Councils in achieving our shared goals.

Dianne Loddon: State Secretary (South Coast Region)

I am married with two beautiful daughters, 3 grandaughters, 1 grandson and 1 step grandson.  I have one grandaughter going into High School and one going into Prep.

I got involved in the P&C when my children were still at school and then when they finished I took some time off for good behaviour. When my first granddaughter came along I went back to being involved in the P&C, as I wanted to make sure that she got a great state education.

I have always been involved in my school's P&C as I do have 1280 children to look after, in my role as the Community Liaison Officer at Robina SHS, and make sure that they get a great State School education.

I enjoyed my last year as State Secretary and I look forward to another great year going into Company Limited by Guarantee.  It is a great Partnership that QCPCA have with the Education Department and I want to be part of the continued support, that is why I put my hand up to be State Secretary for another year.

Kaye Harth: ACSSO (The Australian Council of State School Organisations) Vice President (Darling Downs Region)

kaye harth

I am married, have 4 sons and work as a teacher aide in Special Education in a state high school setting.

My involvement in P&Cs and QCPCA spans many years. During that time I have seen first hand the interest that parents show in the outcomes of decisions that affect their children, their school and their community and how their opinion has been able to influence debate.

I am passionate about parents having that voice in achieving goals. State school education is great and is a team effort of which P&Cs are an important part. As ACSSO Vice President I will continue to promote the P&C voice as part of that team.
